"Our inaugural season as Lincoln City Women FC was one full of excitement and apprehension in carrying forward the unique Imps brand, flying the flag for women's football in the famous red and white shirt. The season started well after successful recruitment of additional players throughout the summer period and even though the team was still synchronising, we were well on track for a top three finish when the season was interrupted by COVID-19.
The squad continues to grow from strength to strength and with the introduction of our development squad this season, the Club is providing a clear pathway from Under 16 girls football through to women's senior football. The Club continues to develop its own coaching staff with both squads being overseen by professionally minded and passionate people with a great deal of expertise in the field of female football.
Off the field, the Club has expanded its board with an energetic and knowledgeable group of individuals that have all taken a particular area of operational responsibility helping to drive the Club forward. Lincoln City Women FC continues to develop ambitious, yet realistic plans, for the future development of the Club, exciting times lie ahead.
In essence, an excellent season, however, all of us at the Club will not rest on our laurels. We strive to be better and more competitive whilst remaining proud of being the leading women's senior football club in Lincolnshire."
