Recent form
The Imps started the season with victory and three points in a testing but rewarding game.
Leek Town suffered a heavy defeat. Solihull Moors put eight goals past Town, leaving them at the bottom of the league with a -8 goal deficit and no points.
When 1-0 down, early in the game, Town's Rebecca Arnold received a red card. With just 10 players for the majority of the match and with one player spending 25 minutes in the sin-bin, they struggled.
Previous meetings
The two teams have met just once before. In November 2019, Leek Town hosted the Imps in the FA Cup First Round.
Town took the lead in the first half before Amy Blinkhorn pulled one back in the second. In the scrappy extra time, Abbie Murrell won the game for Lincoln.
The entire game was rife with injuries and fouls.
Former Manager, Richard Cooper said: "They were very dogged, very aggressive, determined team. They made it very difficult for us and fair play to them because they really worked hard.
"Their style of play disrupted the flow of the game and how we wanted to play, full credit to them. I think it just shows the attitude and determination of our team to come through the hardship and see the game out, they fully deserved the win."
Who to watch
Leek Town Captain, Naomi Sale-Hancock was Opposition Player of the Match in last weekend's game. Previously of Stoke City Reserves, Sale-Hancock is an experienced captain.
