Three new players have agreed to play for Lincoln City Women FC for the 2020-21 season.
Manager, Richard Cooper, gives us an overview.
Ashleigh Housley-Stott
Ashleigh joins Lincoln City from Welsh Premier League side, Abergavenny Women.
She's also a member of the UK Combined Armed Forces women's team - a very good standard.
Position: Midfielder
Cooper says: "I am extremely pleased that Ash has agreed to sign for the club. A great coup for us as Ash had many options to choose from in the FAWNL. She is a strong, athletic and powerful player with bags of quality that will fit well into the squad."
Housley-Stott says: “Having played for Lincoln when I was younger, I was thrilled when the opportunity came for me to rejoin all these years later. I can’t wait for the season to start and to help this team achieve great things.”
Hollie Lewis
Hollie Lewis joins the Imps this season from Peterborough United.
Position: Central defensive midfield
Cooper says: "She has the drive and desire to be challenged at a high level. Versatile and adaptable in her play, Hollie will give us various options and be a quality asset."
Lewis says: "I am very excited to be challenged in my first season with Lincoln City. I am looking forward to achieving my full potential with the aid of brilliant coaches and making many new friendships with some very talented teammates. I can't wait for the season to begin."
Alivia Chambers
Alivia Chambers moves to Lincoln from Leicester City in the FA Women's Championship.
She has also previously played for Sheffield Wednesday U18s.
Position: Centre half
Cooper Says: She's highly sought after player that was attracting interest from Championship teams. Alivia has undoubted quality and all the attributes to go a long way in the game. A brilliant signing!"
Chambers says: "Lincoln City have always been really enthusiastic which really drew me towards the club. Right from the off they were super friendly and welcomed me warmly. I'm really excited to be part of a team with lots of amazing, talented players and I can't wait to see what the season brings."
